Le Grande Boulevard from Luigi Loir 1888 by

Acrylic on Canvas
16 × 20

Adaptation from Luigi Loir 1888

Born in 1943 in Saratoga Springs, New York, Simone survived both the stinging winters of this small Adirondack mountain town and the absence of any grand opportunities.
In the mid 2000’s and most recently, Simone has turned to paying “homage” to the old master artists, especially Johannes Vermeer, by creating a body of work that pays tribute to this master’s skills of light, position, balance, color and theme.

Thanks Roger…I deeply appreciate that….I try not to copy exactly so that I pay homage and not disrespect…I love his works. Just love Luigi.

thanks. Back before he has his Canon camera, he saw things in a certain perspective to capture highlights….to depict the scne. At least that is what they say.
