Thank you for visiting my photo gallery. I am a photo enthusiast based in Bend, Oregon. I have been drawn to landscape photography as a result of my desire to capture the sights that I encountered on my hiking and backpacking trips. I am passionate about photographing mountains in general, and in particular, the Cascade volcanoes of North America’s Pacific Northwest. They are snow covered giants that dominate over their surrounding landscape for hundreds of miles. Their majestic appearance left me awestruck when I encountered them for the very first time, as an eleven-year-old boy on a transcontinental flight overflying the Cascade Range.
When I reached adulthood, fate led me to Portland, Oregon, a gateway city to the Cascade Mountains, where some of the world’s most beautiful sceneries are found on the slopes of Mount Hood and in the Columbia River Gorge. During my many forays up and down the Cascade Range, I discovered Bend, a vibrant central Oregon city in close proximity to not just one, but a dozen of these volcanoes and their attendant foothills, lakes, streams, and waterfalls. I am fortunate enough to relocate to Bend, where once again I find myself in the shadows of the Cascades. Join me as I explore the beauty of the land through the lens of my camera.
