Collage

Anyone out there create collages? I want to finish the one I’ve started but am at an impasse. I know I will do some writing on it eventually, but it’s still missing something. I would love to hear of tips etc. for the best effect or process from your experience.

Thanks, Robin

Creative Projects

Hello everyone,…

Don’t know if anyone will read this, but what the heck. I’m working on several projects lately. I have been creating beginning guitar lessons on YouTube. While waiting for those to upload I work on a painting or a collage. While waiting for that to dry, I practice or write letters. This morning, I’m trying to catch up with all my social media, I’m listening to this new group I discovered, Snarky Puppy.

As a creative, I want to grow and expand. I’m learning not to care what people think. That’s been harder for me than I ever thought. It’s actually WHY in the past I never liked to share my art. It was like asking a girl out and being rejected, just made me too vulnerable. It still feels that way. I’m thankful for this community and the positive feedback received. You are all

My Bar Experience…

“Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t after you.”
~Joseph Heller, Catch-22

First, you must understand how challenging it is for me to post this publically as a religious person. Second, you must know that I am a lesbian. Those things being said, you might want to stop reading if you think this is going to be some kind of erotic or some gay conversion type of reading because it’s not. Go read something else.

I guess I should also say, third – I am in rage about what has happened in Orlando. Raging because it happened in the first place. Raging because the first thing I found out is how the media didn’t want people to know it was a gay bar. Why? It’s okay to shoot gays? Oh yea, and raging because some are going to blame Islamic terrorists when th

April 2016

It’s been a long road to get back to Redbubble. It’s not because I haven’t wanted to, just that working to make a living in the mountains has been challenging. It is my hope to refresh my art here. Add some new things. Find new friends, and reconnect with the old. It’s good to be back. Looking forward to seeing you.

2015 Ends

Wow. Didn’t realize it’s been so long since I’ve been on Redbubble. Projects take away from keeping up with others sometimes. Since my last post, I’ve written another book and put out my CD this year. My dad died. My love and I got married. I want to post something meaningful here, but am not sure what needs to be said. Trying to figure out how to catch up with those folks I love to visit with.

Hope you are well. Continue to create. I still believe that life is art…but also, art is life for those of us who create.

Lesbian Book Release - In A Southern Closet

My first book was released yesterday by Regal Crest Books.

My book is a compilation of poetry, reflections and essays this book is written in a style showing the challenges that the Lesbian Christian faces in living an open life, while also seeking to live a life of faith. It is the author’s intent that the book may assist the lesbian reader in identifying the goodness in her own life, and also be a book to be shared with parents and friends in order that issues of faith can be seen alongside the gift of being a lesbian.

THEME: "Wide open spaces… arms wide open… eyes wide open… – just feel all the possibilities of knowledge and freedom and love. But as with all things, there is the inevitable opposite.
