Not your typical tourist snapshot of this historical monument, this photograph was taken by my father, J. Reeves Haley in March, 1945. The most stricking difference of course is the traffic , or lack of it – just a few army vehicles and soldiers.
This was taken with his Zeiss Icon Super Ikonta BX which I have now.
