Helping Hands

The world is frightening when you’re alone
Without the means to stand on your own
Hoping to find someone who would care
Enough to relieve your heart in despair

Where can you go and what can you do
If everyone’s judgments are against you
Alone and abandoned with no place to belong
Soon you believe you are nothing but wrong

This is the plight within a homeless world
For various reasons their lives are hurled
If not for the caring from those who give
Life for the homeless would cease to live

Many thanks are given for that helping hand
Where loving hearts make it possible to stand
And see the hope for a brighter tomorrow
A chance to revive from that bitter sorrow
