Passion Beyond the Blue

What wilt thou say of me
Should I offer a gentler approach to thee
And present a warming sun’s majestic form
With a soothing breeze to calm thy storm
Wilt thou hide and send me away
Or into thy bosom wilt thou bid me stay
Mine strength is gentle like the mighty oak
Offering shade against the sun’s powerful stroke
Weathering tempests far into the night
Only to stand at the dawn’s early light
Like birds in their nest I offer a lover’s romance
Our souls intertwine like a slow waltzing dance
And capturing each moment in rapturous thrust
Our hearts bind together forever to trust

Artist's Description

This is my frail attempt at romance writing. Donna Hutchins inspired me to write a romance poem using a blend of old and modern english. She does the blend so dynamically well. Perhaps I’ll get better as time moves on.
