Hello my precious friend
It’s so good to see you once again
Great joys and sorrows we have shared
Building life from ashes and growing stronger
With each new day filled with wonder
In the ebb and flow of twilight’s dawn
Come rest your bones against the fire
And warm yourself in this shelter of hope
The birds are singing their cheerful songs
To delight our hearts as we sing along
Relaxing in the easy chairs, playing chess
Sipping coffee with our pipes ablazed
Renewing our souls to greet the world
Refreshed in the spirit to what comes our way
Return home now for your restful sleep
And greet the new day with arms out wide
Knowing you will always have a friend in me
Building life from ashes throughout eternity
