The days are darkened
By the storm clouds rising from the north
A cold wind blows into the night
Freezing rain forms an icy path
Death is knocking at your door
Where is the warmth of the new day’s sun
Eternity’s hours now pass away
Forever challenging hope’s living glory
Let us battle the forces of evil’s might
And lay siege to its castle walls strong
Draw out that wicked one with all your strength
Until a new dawn arises with the power of its light
Returning peace across the land once again
