The Kindom of Heaven

The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a courtroom where you are presented before the judge to answer to your life’s dealings. The DA presents his case and tells the judge every little detail that you have done wrong in your life. You sit and listen to his railings and know that everything he says is absolutely true. The countenence of the judge grows more angry and cold with each breath delivered against you and you know you’re in deep trouble. Now when your time has come to offer your defense, you look towards your attorney and say, “Lord, I don’t know how, but I know you can help me. Please help me.” And your attorney rises up to face the judge and says, “Father, this one belongs to me.” And the judge’s face softens to a great tenderness and says, “Because you have believed in my son, your sins are forgiven. Come sit at my right hand.”

I am not the originator of this story, yet I have placed it in my own words. It is only the way I see and live my life and is in no way a striving to convince others to view it the same way I do. I don’t make judgements on other people’s beliefs, but only wish to relay my own here. I hope you don’t judge me for my own beliefs.

Oh, this is so beautiful!! It is your story, your life. We all do make mistakes but they are our mistakes. We may learn from them or maybe not, but they are still ours. If we feel lost because of them, then it is our right to ask for forgiveness and to be forgiven from one high above. We can ask for forgiveness but not to be judged. Each and everyone of us has our little story.

  • Exactly right Iris. I’m in no position to make any judgements on anyone. That is left to the highest power to determine. I can only do my best to live up to what I believe is the right way of living life. I may be wrong but I pray I’m right.

Just as I am, I come, for He has indeed called, “Come to me.”

  • Indeed He has.

Judge not the past of my being but instead the truth of my present; for in the shadow I am blind to seas of sin yet in your light I shall see clearly the path of faith! Love your wordcraft my dear friend for within it; it brings HOPE! Bravo, bravo!!!…)o(

  • Many thanks Druidstorm. Hope is merely a promise of the future. Without hope we are just spinning our wheels.

  • Many thanks Holly. I leave the judgements to the one whose judgement counts. I’m no good at it. LOL
