When I was in China, kids used to keep trying to sell us these – I was told they pick them – and the postcards they also sell – up at paper recycling, so they get them free and whatever the tourists pay is a profit.

Took this in Dali at the Market. Monkey Magic the TV show is still filmed there. Very cool town. Also a good place to organise a driver and permits to sneek into Tibet via the Yunnan Tibet Highway.
