Acrylic painting of a fantasy character from a short story that I have writen (that may become a fantasy novel at a later date) I will put his character descriptive passage from the story up here shortly. I used a quite muted colour palette and only 3 main brushes and a mixture of 3 colours.
I love the fluid lines in this piece JP, and the choice of colour palette is wonderful :))
Thank you Steph I enjoyed painting this very indeed. I love muted or toned down colour palette’s as I feel subtle suggestion leads the viewer to create more of the story in their mind and can create with imagination create a much larger piece and story for them. thanks for stopping by Steph Im loving your works too, keep them coming.
Very Strong, yet sublte piece Jon, the white eye gets you thinking about what he can and can’t see. hope all is well for you, I hope you and yours have a lovely Christmas and hope to catch up in the New Year, big hugs xoxo
Thanks Kym, yes he does see all and more the white face and eyes are one of the consequences of his battle with the crafting mage after the death of alabasters love. much love and light to you and the boys may your christmas be filled with wonder joy happiness and togetherness (and maybe a little gift or two) looking forward to catching up with you in the new year, take care. The desaturated colour is right for the image – competent work with confident use of the medium.
