Is that a tattoo on one side of his face? Numbers?

Thank you, those are tattoo’s on his face intyeresting that you thought of numbers though, that opens up a whole new point of view on the work, thanks kym. I would like to explain more about this piece in my journal, though just briefly here. I wanted to have an angel who got in and down to business and restored harmony and brought understanding to the situations he entered. this guy is a protector and good guy one who restores balance, just one look at him and you know he means business, lifts up the weak, feeds the hungry, brings light in the darkness and brings a message of hope even to the greatest of sadness. I will explain more in my journal in the next day or so, thanks guys.

Wow i love this – fantatstic work, I wish he was my guardian angel! Amazing drawing though.

Thank you, the layering on the wings took the longest to draw, each wing took about 2 weeks to complete, the original of this work is 1.2m X 1m sq. the body and background took another 2 weeks and that is drawing time, all up it was about 6 weeks from start to finish and i took another 3 weeks fine tuning for good measure (and because i had the time to, if only comissions were so open ended)
He can be your guardian angel all you have to do is ask. I drew him so that he could be there for anybody, the beauty of angels is that they can remanifest and replicate as often as they like and not loose any of there energy , connection, or potentcy they are there to help and there isnt ever too many places to be or too many people to help. Remember this guy gets down to business wether the area of your life you need help in requires you to grow or you simply need “shelter from the storm” just ask and be open and he will come to help. he can be a bit literal though so be clear about what your asking for help with and remember that kindness, compassion and protection are his main drives.

Thank you all. So much effort went into this piece and its a huge piece too aprox 1.2m,H x 70cm,W
it was wonderfull to finish him and see the end result of all that hard work it was quite surprising at the time and to this day i still get a feeling from him especially when standing right in front of him looking up at him. Though the original is not for sale i might include him with my other works when i exhibit next year, still thinking on it though guess i will see when the time comes.

I do quite a bit of tattoo design for people from all walks of life and so far guardian angel has been very popular but i only know of one tattoo of him and that is on a womans back accompanied by his female counterpart i might put her on here some time in the future. alot of my drawings and artworks are traditional pieces and some people see them and decide that they would make a good tattoo. To have somebody ink one of my works on there body is a huge compliment and i feel very greatfull and happy that my works can mean so much to them. thanks for the feedback. regards, Jon (jp100)

I would love to have this angel protecting me – he is stunningly beautiful. A great tattoo design – I would be proud to ‘wear’ him. Definitely worth thinking about….I’ve been looking for the right design for a cover-up for about 2 years now and I might have just found it….as long as you were ok with it of course….

Amazing work, this is fantastic.

This is unlike any angel i have seen in art. almost a menacing aura about it. But I do believe that in the real battle that an angel could not possibly be all white light and beautiful. The ones on the front lines such as yours would be older than time itself and having seen the inhumane ways of humanity the darkness would have made its mark on their soul. They would have to be fierce and strong to keep battling. They would be something to be feared if on opposing sides. But that is just my opinion = ) This is what an Agel should look like!

Thank you Raven, you are right in your understandings of him he is very very old and has been on the front lines for longer than most recorded memory and that does leave its mark so to speak and yes he certainly does have the strength and tenacity to continue on his course. thanks for stopping by glad that you got so much from this work that makes me very happy indeed.
