A dominant male leopard(Panthera pardus) lying in the road during a spring rain .We had tracked this leopard `s prints which were easy to see because of the wet sand,( see my shot " a real fresh leopard print")but it was surprisingly difficult to find the leopard and took 45 mins of tracking very fresh prints, but that`s what made it even more exciting when we did find the leopard. A lot more challenging than going to a zoo!!!Photographed near Leopard hills,South Africa in the rain and very low light.
