This baby little blue heron is now 4-5 weeks old .I have photos on rb when it was 1 week ,asking for food and sleeping in a ball on the nest.It is amazing how fast it has grown and how independant it has become flying around with other young birds,but i can still always find it near the nest on the lake in Tampa,Florida,USA.Little blue herons have 3 phases,a white bird for quite a while,then a white and speckled blue bird and then finally the beautiful blue adult bird.
