I am an amateur photographer and mostly photograph wildlife and have a special love for WILD big cats and birds.I am self taught and have never attended a course in photography.I exclusively photograph animals in the WILD which is always challenging! I use only canon equipment and now have 7d , t3i,and power shot 40 sx hs camera`s and use canon 28-135 mm,70-200mm f 2.8 ,100-400mm f 5.6,and 500mm f/4 lenses.

Oh my, instant fave Jozi. Such awesome detail. Perfect portrait of these little one. So young. I’ve only caught the chick at maybe 4 – 5 weeks when they have their parents colors. I never new they were so light at this age. A really super shot. A winner for sure. :)
Thanks very much,Kathy, i stumbled upon these nests at a lake next to the hospital that i work at .There are 3 tricloreds in the one nest and 2 little blues in the other .They are well hidden and i have to climb under a number of branches close to the waters edge to get there.I try not to disturb them but it is cool to watch their rapid growth :)
