This beautiful cactus flower comes from the “Cholla” cactus found in the Southwest. When the cactus blooms in the spring it is literally covered in these colorful blooms.

The original is 22 × 22″ and is painted on 140 lb Arches watercolor paper.

“Desert Full Bloom” is the 2nd painting that was completed in the series called Desert Life.
