Our nations current poverty level has an alarming lack of data available. There are no up to date census reports online on the nations poverty level. It is apparent that with the new year comes new statistics and it also seems that the times have caught up with our Government Agencies and the uselessness of these Economic Statistic Administrators who are behind in reporting important data. America is changing and changing quickly and our stability and growth is going to depend on public confidence and the ability of important information to be available to the public at a minimum cost. The current administration needs to address the useless size of much of Government and it’s many wasteful spending habits of the past and make data useful and more transparent without government agencies.
The speed in which people are approaching the nations poverty levels is so fast that it appears we are unable to put a number on it. The National CPI-U data which is currently available on the only government census website worth referring to www.bls.gov is alarming. The economic health of our country is poor and is rapidly declining. The Department of Health and Human Services is having a hard time keeping up with their own reporting. Many people feel the IRP (Institute of Research on Poverty) will be reporting poverty levels so great that all previous economic data is no longer useful in determining the level of poverty in this country.
The statistic’s show that for the first time in 25 years a steep decline with numbers on non farm payroll jobs relating to wages and hours has declined and the amount of people uninsured is no longer at levels sustainable. The inflation calculators which is also located on this website is an interesting tool and shows just how significant the dollar’s value truly is and how it will effect our future lifestyle. The purchasing power of the dollar has sunks to a 2% low and inflation to a 2% high. It is not only a recession ahead and the political engine of this country truly needs to enter into high speed.
The size of the spending and the stimulus package proposed by this administration if not done in the most precise way will ultimately criple the economics of this country and alas it’s power. All data points to a grim prospect if spending persists. It appears that our leaders don’t want to hear it and don’t want us to hear it either for fear it will cause further damage. Government needs to stop spending money on useless posts and cabinets who do nothing to serve us?
Goverment agencies and offices are archaic on a local and federal level. Many of their jobs duplicate other jobs from one department to another. The Social Security History report which is currently online is a 36 page long document that was written in 1992; it is not only totally irrelevant today this document appears to be humorous and shows how wasteful government spending can be. The Wealth Distribution Statistics found in these databasis once based on sex discrimination and other discrimination factors look paltry to the problems that face our economy now. The massive government agencies and documents called the Working Group on Economic Statistic of the Cabinet Council of Economic affairs.55 have done nothing other then to derail the matrix that exists revealing more wasteful government spending.
Meanwhile the poverty thresholds outlined in the report go unsolved. Indeed have increased and the modals used to obtain their information obsolete. The Federal Register is just another old department of government sighting economic levels of 1975 and 1964 with no relevancy today. The dynamics of a nations poverty levels is so important to the needs of a county and needs to be a barometer in determining the health of a country. The impact of inflation after the spending with the Stimulis Program on our monetary system is yet to be counted in on the impact it will have on todays poverty levels.
Before wasteful government declares yet more stimulus and completely bankrupts us every department in governement needs to be overhauled and made accountable for their usefulness; their job securty should not be taken for granted.
I would like to see our government tighten it’s belt on issues that do not directly impact Americans, in a global economy when so much effects so many I can appreciate the details of doing this, however before it poverty o strangles our throats with our own belt we must do something fast. The media have attempted to warn the American people of this money problem but they are so badly jaded by public opinion and political views that the American has lost it’s faith with the media. People are consequently feeling more aggressive and less in control. Much like the in past stories when the boy that cried wolf or the cry from chicken little that the sky is falling we are jaded but now more than ever we need to be listening. The Government needs to be honest and fast moving because time is running out. We need honest data which is an important issues for healthcare and immigration. The unemployed need to know the truth as well the statistics just don’t seem right and everyone has a different opinion.
Let’s adapted a new Social Security identification system it is so needed but not without a price tag…“if you want to be American and are now seeking citizenship you must pay”. What better bailout could there be? (see article on Social Security Reform Act by Joy Munro)
