One cold day in Michigan, the woman who is known as “Mom” to her two children, and Lauri Jean to her family, was drawing and painting. Watching her intently, her eldest son said “Mom, I think you’ve found your Joy.” At that moment Lauri Jean’s heart warmed, and on that day, the artist Joy Found was born.
The artist is self-taught, however, for more than 20 years her art has been collected by a worldwide audience. Her work has been used in art therapy, and graces the walls of public and private institutions, universities and businesses as well as being in the personal collections of many families who she now counts among her friends.
