A bit of background for the new lookers ...... I’m an Australian Artist from the bush! I paint landscapes, abstracts based on nature, forests and deserts! The landscape, the bush and our straggly but beautiful eucalypts all inspire me to paint! The most special thing about Australia is the ‘light’. We have fantastic clear blue skies, wide open with little interference from pollution or reflected light from cities here in the ‘bush’. On clear nights, you feel as if you can pluck the stars from the skies, they are that big and bright.

My favourite place is the desert and I’ve traveled extensively throughout the eastern states of Australia and the Northern Territory. My intention is to keep exploring the Oz landscape and my response to it visually and philosophically over my retiring years.

I love to paint in mixed media and explore all the various ways of applying paints on paper and canvas…....I am particularly fond of watercolours though and you’ll see that as you look through the site.

I am eternally excited by the strange interactions of the various mediums and how natural they appear….... mixed media ebbs and flows across the canvas mimicking the patterns of the earth’s surface, abstracted but with reason and purpose! The secrets of eternity are written on the surface of the land.

I also love to photograph nature, especially flowers, and always carry my camera with me, hence all the photos, drawings and paintings!
