I’m Not Pretty

I’m not pretty enough to be mean,
I’m lovely as pie and sweet as honey
But every night I sleep and I am lonely.
I’m not pretty enough to be arrogant,
Humble and lowly I bow to you all
but that’s not so bad, arrogance leads to a fall.
I’m not pretty enough for a boyfriend,
But women can be more forgiving
Even if it’s a lie I would be living.
I’m not pretty enough for a party,
The corner is my companion
But with less crap conversation.
I’m not pretty enough to talk in crowds
Not even pretty enough to be remembered.

I’m not pretty enough for this world
But I live in it
And will deal with it.
