Artist's Description

Luminescent as well as poison! Meet bold Omphalotus Olearius, orange mushrooms growing in their large colonies over the underground roots of a dead tree. Breaking down dead vegetation is the function of this decomposer fungus. And, if you take it into the dark, it glows with an eerie green light, hence its common name of Jack-O-Lantern mushroom. Just don’t eat it . . .
