Written On The Spare Of The Moment
Back in the days when the earth was young
we saw men with rage and hate
We prayed as the strokes of their tools had rung
And believed in hope, repairation and fate.
Like the setting of the Sun and Moon
a sudden change came over me
During adult life all my inner pain
was now in need to be set free
The present filled with conflict,
but with strength from somewhere
Revealed my heartache and pain
And Past evil that I can finally bear
I knew my life would never be the same
My mind was in a different frame
But I still rose with a cheerful face
And a bright courageous eye
And the bad spark that filled the air
Brought Wisdom and faith did not let me Die.
When the voices of children are heard
Then the vows of true hearts bind
Although it may not remain for long
We wonder if Life and love is unkind?
The Earth itself must surely die
Or is this just what we assume
Does my parting ghost really say good-bye
Or does my spirit return with a new moon.
And some of us live in the dark
So why do we still have reason to shine
And who has given us a heavenly spark
To live eternal happiness forever and ever in time.
