Forgiveness
This is a photograph I took several years ago and On the day I uploaded it to my computer, The holy Spirit inspired me to write the verses contained in it. I Pray it will speak to many, and bring healing and forgiveness to those who are in need.
Wounded deep by harsh cruel words,
And falsely accused by those who he loved,
Beaten and bruised, stripped naked and mocked
Tears mingled with blood, now covered his face.
Hate filled hearts tied him to a post,
His back like a field that had just been ploughed
From furrows deep blood flowed to the ground
With a heart filled with love he endured the pain.
Hands that healed and often clasped in prayer,
Feet that once carried a message of love,
both now nailed to a cruel cross,
Innocent one now waiting to die.
Crowds stood and watched as he cried out to God,
Father forgive them, Forgive them he cried,
The price was paid and he bowed his head and died.
Forgive them father was his plea
As he paid the price for you and me,
Our sins washed away and pardon secured,
Forgive one and other as He forgive you.
