This is Abhijeet - A Gypsy Girl

I am a missionary, born in Northern Ireland and living in London. my passion in life is to help the poor in rural and isolated villages in Africa and India.
Abhijeet in Hindu language means “one who is victorious, a star”. She certainly lives up to her name. 3 years old and already has faced abuse, and hunger. She was close to death and in much pain. Abijeet is one child we rescued through The INDIAN NEW LIFE MISSION, based in India.
Her smile melted my heart and as I was told her story I could not help give God thanks for the few Indian Christians that reached out to her. With little money, they took her into the Orphanage, where now she is cared for.
I now have sponsored Abijeet and for only £10 per month, she is fed, clothed and will attend a full education when she is old enough. I do not get financial funding from any Church, My own income is little. But I made my mind up a long time ago to share what God has blessed me with with the poor. I have not gone hungry, nor my family. I rent my home, and drive a car. My children are all educated and blessed by God. I have lacked nothing,because blesses the sower.

Abijeet is a shining star and a true testimony of what Love and sharing can do. Please Pray for me, that I can bless many more suffering children like Abijeet. Strengthen my arm in Gods mission to reach the hurting of this world with his love and care. Pray and do what the Lord lays on your heart. You will become richer for it.

Right now I am working flat out on fund-raising for Philadelphia Mission Charity. Its so stressing and heartbreaking at times when I speak to those who have to give. Who could with one stoke of a pen pay for ten deep clear wells to save the lives of children. While others have little but give from their hearts. But to be recognised for mission work and for my photographs is the greatest personal encouragement I can have.

Underfunded and without a salary, God has truly proven his love and faithfulness to me and the small team. Our Charity really is different and we never take a penny out of what people donate, or money raised from selling my Photographs. Thank you for your comments. Abhijeet is a very beautiful child. She is a NAR-AKAVR Gypsy child living in great poverty, and as from 226th September is very ill. We are Praying for her and doing what we can with the little we have to help her. her eyes are what touched me so much. As I was speaking to her adn photographing her she just melted my heart. AS I looked around the Gypsy cam with little clean water, very little food and no Sanitation, I her as she told me how some people beat her when she tries to sell beads in Town. All Because she is a low caste Gypsy. I have dedicated my life to helping as many of these children as I an through the Philadelphia Mission, as small underfunded British charity, formed in 1995. We are committed to helping as many as we can in remote and rural villages in Africa and India.

Thank you Lisa. I love taking Portrait shots. Almost all my portraits are taken while in the open and often many of the children are not posing. I use the Canon EF70-300 IS USM lens as I can be quite some distance away, and it gives a natural blurred background. The Image Stabilizer can be slow at times and I often switch it of when not at full zoom. Your Portraits are so beautiful and I love them. I really value your comments Lisa. Thank you.
