"This is what I do." Meet Salome.

Taken in Tunga/Zuga Village, remote Kebbe State. Nigeria.
My passion in life is to bless the poor by sharing some of what God has blessed me with, and allow others to share the blessings by helping, too, for Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my (Jesus’) name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. Mark 9:37

Salome sits at the fire and starts her day at sunrise before anyone else get up. She prepares what little food she has to feed herself, her younger sister and disabled mother. She has never been to school nor had time to play like other children.

Something went very wrong when Angel, her younger sister was born and their mother was never able to walk again. Since then Salome has been caring for her mother and sister.

Salome needs mechanical farm tools, seed, fertilizers, and water barrels to store water. Then she will be able to grow her own food in her family garden.

I am returning to these remote villages on 15th November- 16th December 2009.
