Alfred is a young boy who has and does inspire me to raise awareness and raise funds and tools to help these extreme poor in Africa. We do this through Philadelphia Mission a British Registered Charity. [Reg No: 1049410].
My great Passion in life is to bless others who are extremely poor, sick and disabled in Rural and Isolated villages in Africa.
Alfred was found in Tunga/Zuga village by one of our Evangelist Staff members. He was very ill and had his leg amputated to save his life. He was taken by our staff member and cared for. Now he is in good health and at school. A boy who loves God and life. We can and do make a difference friends. Pray for us, and spread the word around the world of what God is doing in Isolated and remote villages in Africa.

Excruciatingly powerful Trevor…I would love to paint these children one day, make a series out of them & have that be my contribution to your endless journey of helping others. Some have money to contribute, others have time & some can simply put the word out there by selling there art. Some food for thought :) God Bless as always!

Thank you so much for your beautiful ministry. While I adore the pictures of the little children who have been taken so well care of by missionaries like yourself, this picture and ones like it are the ones that reach the deepest recesses of my heart. I am completely undone when I see photos that depict a humans understanding of their need for God, especially little children. I truly appreciate your efforts and your tender heart, Trevor. May God bless you as you continue serving Him. Sandra
Laurie Puglia
wow. i still love your canon eos d40 . important question. do you do most of your shots by tripod or hand held trevor?? this is an amazing shot!
Laurie Puglia
congrats on this photo being featured in true beauty bud.
TREVOR IRWIN
Hi Laurie. I only use tripod when I am using the 500mm Telephoto. Its a heavy beast adn at full focus, the smallest shake causes blur. Almost all the latest Photographs are taken with a Canon EF70-300mm IS USM lens. The image stabiliser does make a difference when taking hand-held shots. But there are a few times when it does not work, though this is usually in very low light.
I used the Sigma 50-500 telephoto on a few shots. It is great for even close shots, but on full focus, you need to ether use a tripod or increase the ISO a little, say about 400 and hold as steady as you can.

This photo is so moving and it reminded me of a Malawian Mother that I was praying with when her Baby was dying. www.shirleycharlton.com. I have not sold my painitign of African Faces yet but is is still for proceeds to philadelphia mission. My Malawi Manyowe village is becoming well known very poor but because they have NOTHING except the Lord Jesus they rely on him only. Awesome things are happening. But I keep comgin back to your web site to see how things are going and just wish I could give to Philadelpha as well. Keep up your WONDERFUL WORK>

The emotion captured is so powerful…the pinnacle point, in this child’s prayer.
One cannot look at this image and not feel emotional, not feel a sense of the trauma this child has gone through impossible we are all connected by energy.
just remarkable.
