goodbye valley view

this is the last time the moon hits my window
piercing the glass with its ancient eerie glow
lighting up my room with haunting lunar spirits
carressing the the clouds on dark nights like this
this is the last time i watch the stars move
the cascade of dawn off far distant moons
the twinkling of life burning not yet alive
looking into yesterdays long said goodbyes
this is the last time i’ll call this place home
i came here empty shallow and alone
i leave here eager, willing to overflow
this is the last time i shall look out this window

goodbye valley view
