This is the iconic One Mile Jetty of Carnarvon WA. The fantastic sun set coupled with the low tide and wet sand resulted in a scene screaming out to be photographed.

    WOW WOW WOW!!!!!! :-))

  • That is exactly what I thought as I left work that day to see this sun set developing. I very quickly dropped in at home to grab the camera and drove down to the jetty spending an hour taking many shots to be rewarded with this.

Thanks for the comments. Hey I love your “Take me Away” art, fantastic concept and it frames so well. I will have to find those “thingy” tools on CS3 and give it a go with images of my son

Stunning image! The colors and textures and beautiful, however, you aligned the frame with the jetty, which was not perpendicular to the focal plane of your camera.
Since it was angling away from you, it should have looked slanted due to perspective, because of this, your sky and horizon look tilted to the right. You should use a bubble level on on your camera or tripod (or just align the frame to the horizon) to ensure that the frame is properly aligned. As for this image, you can fix the tilt in Photoshop if you wish =)
