Hiking through Wales’ beautiful country side, I stumbled upon this almost ghostly existence of an abandoned slate mine. It had been deserted almost 100 years ago and the machinery almost has disintegrated. The slate wall is still standing. All through the mine are these beautiful flowers, growing from dead soil, reaching for blue skies.
