Skylight ~ Buckston Browne Farm by

A lab skylight in Buckston Browne surgical research centre where animals were tested on.

Buckston Browne Farm is located in Downe (a village in the London Borough of Bromley) and was built in 1931 as a surgical research centre by the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS). In the 1980s, the farm caused controversy because of its use of vivisection techniques, and in August 1984 it was raided by anti-vivisection activists. It now lies abandoned and derelict.

A photograph is a trace of its subject. The viewer and the image belong to each other. Capturing these traces is a passion, an obsession for me. I hope the thrill comes through in my images.

Really great details just below the grate, and again, love the lighting here. Well done, Jo!
