Life and the Pursuit

My first impression, before I become blindly enamoured of him; typical brash American. He’s six foot six inches, 250 pounds. When he walks into a room every head turns. He is attractive, confident and cocky.

I want him to notice me. I am cocky too, to hide my insecurities. As we become acquainted I admire his larger-than-life experiences. He has done so many interesting things, been so many places, and met so many people.

Everywhere he goes, he returns with tales of glamour, parties, wealth, excitement and a life lived on the edge. I want to be a part of that. He invites me to leave my boring existence and join him. I move to a new country, take a new job. I will “complete him.”

His life, it turns out, is missing only one thing. Truth.

Beware of the man who claims to have everything! The story is definitely believable unlike your leading man.

  • Zolton,
Thanks! My dad always said, never trust someone who feels compelled to tell you they are trustworthy. That’s how I see this guy.
