I don’t know how much fiction is in this for you, but it brought back strong, poignant memories…and future fears for me. The reason I’m afraid of people. Part of why I am who I am. And in a simple little note you captured that. I’m not sure whether to thank you or curse you! Wonderful job.
Ah Dolphinkist … everything that happens to us makes who we are. Whether good or bad, it all shapes us. Be experienced; not wary. Be stronger; not weaker. After such an encounter you must be able to stand tall and say “there goes one more poor soul I’m a better person than!” and let them stack up below you.
