New Greek flag by João Figueiredo
This is a reaction/cartoon/critic to the most recent news that there were some countries inside of EU demanding that Greece would have to give in their economical sovereignty directly to the EU as condition to receive a new loan.
Just a remind to all those who don’t know that if achieved, this will not be the first non democratic measure applied by the EU inside of the EU itself. Previously both Italian and Greek governments were replaced by people the own Eu pointed out, without any kind of elections.
As you can see the EU stars take place in the square on the top left corner making that the traditional cross gets smaller and has to be inside of the circle made by the EU stars. This is not only an attempt of getting some space to fit everything, but a symbol, a way to say that each more and more Greece is under EU control, loosing it’s sovereignty in a total way.
