Timanfaya devil by João Figueiredo

This is the symbol of the Timanfaya National Park. There is a story behind of it but right now I can’t remember it… This park is all about the Volcanos that exist in Lanzarote island. The landscape is completely black, grey, dark brown or dark red. Everything is untouched since the last eruptions.

There is also a bus tour and a restaurant (an expensive one!) where they cook just with the heat that comes out from the ground. Besides that, it is just watching what themselves call “moon landscape”.

The ticket to drive inside of the Nattional Park costs 8€, but if you drive by though the public road, believe me, you will see the same things… By the way, it is strictly forbidden to step any floor rather the roads. Picking up rocks or steping out of the road will mean a very high ticket from the local authorities…

Self tought. I am still learning, I allways will be! Landscapes and nature were, are and allways will be my favourite thing to shoot. Other motifs? Yeah, they will come as well…

  • I think the island has other more exiciting attractions up in the north. If you didn’t see it, I recomend! Thanks for the nice comment!!

What a cool sign. Just realised that I have been there many years ago, they have a restaurant at the top that cooks over the open crater?

  • In deed they have! A grill resturant actually lol
