Swimming pool at Jameos del Agua – Lanzarote.
Jameos del Agua is a tourist attraction in the northeast of the island of Lanzarote. It consists in a natural underground cave with sea water, and a “crateer” opened by the colapse of the land where once used to run an underground magma river back in the days where the volcanoes were still active in that island. To all this they added a swimming pool where nobody is allowed to get in to, a restaurant, a bar and a show room with the history of the volcanic activity of the island and the Canary islands.
The underground cave with sea water has an unique crab species that are tiny, white and blind due to the darkness of the environment that surrounds them.
Like 95% of the things that worth to see in this island, this spot belongs to a private corporation called Cesar Manrique. Therefore, to see it, you will have to pay (it’s not that cheap!!)…
