This year we had a very soft winter in south and central Sweden… Not a lot of cold and not a lot of snow, and even worst, no snow in most of the days that had temperatures bellow zero. And that is why in December the river Lagan was still not frozen. It was a bad winter for people who like winter fishing (with cabines on the frozen surface of the lake) and for those who like me love winter sports. But since I didn’t spend so much time skiing, I manage to take some shots like these…
This shot was taken right in the center of the city from a pedestrian bridge over the Lagan river by a very small island in the middle of the river and the bridge that you can see is the one of the oldest roads in the whole Sweden, the Riksväg 1 (Kingdom’s road 1) that crosses the city from north to south on it’s way to Helsingborg in the southern coast by Denmark.
