Whilst staying at Wye River on Victoria’s Southern Coast, we spent a day exploring which included a 3km walk to Mariners Falls, a few km from Apollo Bay. On the way back we stopped at a small picnic ground. There was a lot of squaking going on in a tree above, which I discovered was two Willy Wagtails (I think) harrassing a Kookaburra which was obviously on a branch too close to them. The Kookaburra refused to move and was harrassed for at least two or three minutes by these two fast, skilful flyers. Captured from 15 metres below with a Canon 7D and 70 to 300mm lens. Cropped substantially to show the action. Number 1 in a small series.
