Last Breath
Tears clouded her vision as she placed it beneath her left breast, angled up so to pierce her heart. His face flashed through her mind, His dying expression. And then she pushed.
Betrayed
Light slowly crept over the horizon largely blotted out by large clouds of smoke. Its weak rays danced over the dirty armour of the fivethousand men gathered casting shifting shapes on the ground.
