This is my all-time favorite hymn – I used to sing it in front of crowds & it got to me everytime. This really is an amazing shot & a great title for it. “why should the shadows come, why should my heart be lonely….when Jesus is my portion, my constant friend is He, for His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me…”

  • Jonicool replied

Thanks so much for your kind comments…I can’t help but think of that hymn everytime I see a sparrow :)

Oh I do love the smallest birds, being so low on the food chain, I’ve a bird sanctuary in my back yard, a huge 8 sided feeder made of a 5 gallon bucket, about 8 houses I make, it’s like a soap opera, especially when the feeder is full, you can hear them calling their friends, “Festival! Festival! “

  • Jonicool replied

Thanks Syd! Your backyard sounds like great fun!
