Born in Sydney, Jon Hawley has been a graphic designer and caricaturist for over 30 years, having won several awards in the advertising world. He is also well known throughout Australia for his many artistic talents, including sculpture and fine art. His permanent sculpture for the foyer of Sydney’s Mitchell Library was opened by the Governor of NSW on Austrailia Day, 2003. Jon was chosen to design and produce the new permanet Heritage Gallery at the State Library with its glass ‘tunnels of time’, pristine glass showcases and giant graphics.
