Ventured North a few weeks back, as it looked like we were going to have the first patch of cloud around sunset for nearly 2 months !!… I thought I was in for a superb light show but instead, I set up
my gear and set the tripod down at the waters edge and excitedly turned to select a suitable filter only to hear a ‘Plop’ sound…!!! you guessed it…. the camera was sat lens down in the gentle incoming water……Aaarrghh.. !!!!
Needless to say, after the initial panic and frantic checking and cleaning, I was not in the mood to stay long. Far more worried about the camera than the moment… but did get one little gem..!!
Thankfully, there doesn’t appear to be any real damage after stripping and rebuilding my Lee frame, which took most of the sandy impact.
Taken at Yanchep’s southern Beach, WA.
