Third in the series from North Beach, the low tide exposes some unusual limestone formations and rock pools..Just like the composition on this one !!

Had a great evening (the first for a good couple of weeks with any cloud) and although the sun faded in a very subdued manner with not much of a spectacle of colour, the low tide revealed some very interesting plateaus of rock on the coast normally under at least 6 inches of water…

Once again, as is generally the case here in Perth in the winter…it was very still, no blasting south westerlies to churn things up.

Danielle wanted to join me so we both got down and slippery !!..on the rocks and took a few beauties….The light is difficult to control with not much cloud to hold the light every shot means settings and filter changing but a great learning experience for both Danielle and myself….more importantly….we had fun !!!

Appreciating and capturing light is the cornerstone to my photography. combine this with the beauty of our Western Australian beaches and rocky coastline and you have something that should be both witnessed, captured and shared.

I hope I can inspire you to take the time to see a sunrise or sunset, on a coast or a rocky outcrop somewhere, and then maybe you can understand why for me, Photography has become a passion……

Fantastic colour and detail in the weeds but it’s the detail in the pool that I cant stop looking at- great work as always JS!

  • Thanks Jimmie…it was a bit tricky trying to get the right angle to achieve the detail of the pool and still maintain some form of pleasing composition..but as YOU know…persistence pays off eventually !!..

PS. just realised your not on my watchlist !!…wondered why I hadn’t seen anything of you in a while !!…sorted now !..cheers mate..:)
