Well…Maybe just a couple more from Smith’s Beach, Yallingup. SW Australia…..

It is so difficult to convey the power of the ocean through still life photography, motion is relatively easy in my opinion…as you all know I love my water and have experimented until I now know the shutter speeds required to get the amount of motion I desire without over doing it either way…or so I thought !!….enter Smiths Beach this winters night, no wind…I mean NO WIND, this is Western Australia after all so no wind is like the Alps without snow in winter…but boy was there some swell.

“Perfect surf” was how one guy described it…big rollers, uniformed, clean and regular…both a surfers and photographers dream….

Lots of shots…very wet & very happy with the results…

Danielle’s had enough of a plug from me now…it’s time she goes it alone !!! Danielle Stacey has finally joined RB which I’m really proud of, although I think all the credit needs to go to her photography teacher at school rather than myself….you may just see a hint of me in her shots !!!..:))…but judge for yourself..

Appreciating and capturing light is the cornerstone to my photography. combine this with the beauty of our Western Australian beaches and rocky coastline and you have something that should be both witnessed, captured and shared.

I hope I can inspire you to take the time to see a sunrise or sunset, on a coast or a rocky outcrop somewhere, and then maybe you can understand why for me, Photography has become a passion……

  • Thanks Clomani…I think it’s because I’m an addict !!!!…and a complete lunatic that puts himself in the most ridiculous positions to capture the ocean !!!.. It all helps !!..:)
