I began taking 35mm photos with an SLR around 1980. Before then, I always seemed to have some type of camera with me whether it was a polaroid or a little kodak pocket camera. I enjoy landscapes, black and white photography, and have a special interest and passion for night time photography. I moved to Las Vegas about a year ago and the night time opportunities are endless. I truly believe that there is still room for film cameras and believe you will see them working side by side with digital cameras for some time. Although digital cameras are amazing, so still are the details that can be captured with film. So, I use both and enjoy both. Regardless of the equipment, I also believe it will always be the photographers “eye” that will matter more than the equipment used. The camera is smart, but not as smart as the person with the creative mind and eye and fingers manipulating it! I am currently attending the NY Institute of Photography and have won awards for my work. Many of my photos are from Las Vegas and my other favorite place, the Chesapeake Bay!
