I was inspired by the song “Castle Walls” sung by Christina Aguilera (the fAux dubstep remix version). This character is named Chou, hence the butterflies. I pictured her sort of like a princess locked in her castle, seemingly content on the outside, but feeling caged for most of her life, yearning for something more.
