Visiting my sister in Norfolk and ignoring the satnav lead me to some fields of wild poppies (and daisies!).

In the original shot the trees on the horizon were fuzzy like water colour and I processed the photo to a painterly rather than photographic rendering.

The other important lesson I learned that day was that cakes baked with granulated sweetener do not taste like cake. In baking, love is no substitute for sugar !

Blessed with the body of an athlete and the sensitivity of an artist, John was destined for wonderful things…sadly the athlete’s body is that of a retired shot putter and the artist was a cave painter, who met a tragic death when his attempt to knock through a wall of his cave was met with not only failure, but also gravity. Still, his family was left with a wonderful lofty view of the sea.
