There were 7 locals, a tiny boat and me. I could swim but my camera couldn’t so it was with a bit of trepidation when I stepped on board. Balance is the key, so I did my utmost to not rock the boat. The Intha people of Inle Lake in Burma’s Shan State have sat in boats before they were born, can row with their arms or their legs, and have perfected the art of staying afloat. Taken in 1984, Nikon FM2, 28mm Nikkor lense, kodachrome slide film.
