Smashed into pieces
The pounding of waves has carved the cliffs on the coast of Victoria into one of Australia’s most iconic natural wonders. The Twelve Apostles are breaking apart, but over time many more will join them.
Featured on Home Page (Yeah! my first), June 30th, 2009 Thanks everyone.

Fabulous work John! Great B&W! It sure can get windy around that part of the coast! :o)

I was there 10 years ago. Quite a wonder isn’t it?! Beautiful capture John.
John Spies replied
I saw them for the first time a couple of years ago, wanted to stay a week, but only had a night. A long walk along that beach was very enticing…next time

Awesome shot John, wonder how long this one will last, three in the last few years collapsing doesn’t bode well.
John Spies replied
Wait a few mill and there will be plenty more, but a real shame about the arch, it was a fantastic natural sculpture. S’pose its good for the people who took the best shots of it though, they are now historical treasures.
Scott d'Almeida
fabulous

Thanks Scott, nice to hear from you

I remember walking out onto London Bridge as a little tacka that’s certainly a fond memory. Even then I remember the huge crack forming on one end thinking how long will that last.
