Looking along the tiles in the aisle of St Patrick’s Cathedral, Ballarat.
The late afternoon sunlight was coming directly in the main stained glass window, lighting up the aisle and pews.
St Patrick’s Cathedral foundation stone was laid in 1858. The style of the church is early Gothic from the era of Edward the 1st in the 13th Century.

Beautiful architecture and capture John,Just stunning x

  • Hi Pauline. Thanks for the visit and comments. I have tried a new HDR program and was really happy with the results of this one. Late afternoon light seemed to was everything with a yellow glow near the altar and the remainder of the church was very dark.
I am seeing churches in a different light now!

  • Hi John. Thanks for your comments & visit. A sunny Winter’s day in cold Ballarat sent me exploring some indoor sites. I found things I didn’t know existed!
