A Grey Fantail performs its dance on the log close to the water. The dark colours and continual movement made it hard to get a well lit shot in the shaded conditions.

Lovely shot of this cute little bird. It suddenly dawned on me that I’ve been to Ocean Grove Nature Reserve and Serendip when I visited my brother who was then living in Geelong. They’re wonderful reserves with amazing wildlife. Your photos are stunning and bring back memories of my time there.

  • Thank you for your kind comment. I am fortunate to live very close to the OG Nature Reserve, but as urban sprawl and coastal living expands, we are lucky to have it preserved. Glad you remembered it. Serendip is also a great location for bird life and a good place to see the larger Australian ones. Glad to know it bought back a holiday memory.
